Kant was antisemitic. He did not say that Jews are to be euthanasied, as this comes actually from Fichte. But he has had plenty of antisemitic words.

So indeed Kant was antisemitic. There are also traces of racism confirmed elsewhere in his writing, he believed in a hierarchy of races basically. In “Von der verschiedenen Rassen der Menschen” (1777) this is very clear. In spite of my own genealogy with him, I think this had to be made clear. There is a definition of a kind of scientific reason in Kant’s works that synthetizes empirism (Aristotelianism) and reason (Platonicism). This is true. Nevertheless Kant’s consideration on a philosophy of law leads directly to Nazism as well as it considers juridical action as not motivated by research of a morale. By the way (in his “Perpetual peace : a Philosophical sketch”), how can a nation “send [the visitor] away again, if this can be done without causing his death” without a standing army ? This is basically very hypocritical, it is the prolegomena of a Sismondist clause. In other words, the saying that Nazis were Kantian (from Adolf Eichmann’s trial) is wholly true, in spite of Hannah Arendt’s claims.
